Rúbrica. María Terremoto and Pedro Ricardo Miño / Veranos de la Villa

The young flamenco singer, María Terremoto, presents her Rúbrica project on 8 August in the Central Courtyard at the Conde Duque Cultural Centre, accompanied by the pianist, Pedro Ricardo Miño. This flamenco recital forms part of the programme of the Veranos de la Villa festival.

María Terremoto is a descendent of the “Terremoto” family from Jerez de la Frontera, a lineage of great maestros, whereas Pedro R. Miño, has a piano career of more than three decades under his belt, in which he has accompanied stars like Enrique Morente, Manuel Molina, El Pele, Arcángel or Lole Montoya.

The two artists perform a repertoire of orthodox song, going from Jerez and the ports to Levante and on to Seville, with the sole musical accompaniment of the eighty-eight keys of a piano. In Rúbrica, it is evident that the flamenco singer has a lot to say and she is ready to leave her own stamp on the flamenco scene. This concert is a journey through the musical senses that does not take any of the purity away from the flamenco language, but takes the audience to sound expression levels that have rarely been seen today.
