During the months of July and August (the 2024 edition was held between 9 July and 25 August), Veranos de la Villa fills Madrid with a wide range of cultural and leisure activities, many of them free. The festival offers a packed schedule of concerts, theatre, dance, zarzuela, circus, exhibitions, and children's activities, hosted at venues across the city. In 2024, it celebrated its 40th edition, with Japan as the guest country.
