Visit the Palacio de Liria Gardens

During the months of June, July and August, Palacio de Liria opens its gardens exceptionally for small groups through a series of guided tours. Accompanied by an expert guide, you can explore the French garden and the English garden at Palacio de Liria. 

These visits offer a unique opportunity to learn more about the history and botany of these spectacular gardens located in the centre of Madrid. With the help of Fundación Casa de Alba, this initiative presents a detailed overview of the landscape design and botanical variety of this place.

Guided tours of the gardens are available to small groups, first thing in the morning, and places are limited. You can combine your visit to the gardens with admission to visit the Palacio de Liria as well.

Located in Calle Princesa, Palacio de Liria is a large building from the 18th century, residence of the House of Alba in Madrid, which houses much of the family’s art collection and historical archive, both of extraordinary value. French architect Louis Guilbert and Ventura Rodriguez, among others, were responsible for the design and construction of this building. Also known as "the younger brother of the Royal Palace", Palacio de Liria is one of the most important civil buildings of its era still standing in the centre of Madrid. 

The guided tour involves climbing stairs, so it is not recommended for people with reduced mobility. Wheelchair access is not possible
