Australian indie folk musician Vance Joy and the band led by American singer Samantha Rae Bowers are coming to Spain to perform in the Botanical Garden of Complutense University (Alfonso XIII Royal Botanical Garden) on 5 July. This music event is part of the programme of the popular Noches del Botánico festival.
Australian singer James Gabriel Keogh, better known by his stage name Vance Joy, rose to international fame thanks to the great success of his song Riptide in 2013. This single, which has more than two billion streams on Spotify, is a clear example of his ability to create catchy pop folk tunes. In addition to his success on digital platforms, Keogh has sold more than two million physical albums worldwide, demonstrating his popularity and recognition.
The vibrant energy that characterises Sammy Rae & The Friends gigs was finally captured in an album with new material in 2024, backed by the fantastic single Coming Home Song. Everything they showcased in their exciting live concerts The If It All Goes South Tour (Live)(2023) and the EP The Good Life (2018) has finally been pinned down in an album. It has been eagerly anticipated and is well worth the wait. Their music condenses the best of 20th century pop music while making it sound brand new.
