The person behind The Tallest Man On Earth is Swedish singer-songwriter Kristian Matsson who is returning to Madrid on 5 September to play at La Riviera, performing tracks from his sixth studio album, Henry St.(2023).
Scandi folk rock singer-songwriter Kristian Matsson is one of the most respected singers on the international folk scene. The artist started out as the vocalist of the band Montezumas, and in 2006 he released his first solo album The Tallest Man on Earth, which received very positive reviews. However, it was with his third album There's No Leaving Now (2012) that he became a firm fixture on the international folk rock scene. An album that followed the minimalist strokes of his two previous records: The Wild Hunt (2010) and Shallow Grave (2008).
In 2016, he presented his fourth album Dark Bird Is, on which the Scandinavian singer-songwriter took a step further in instrumental terms. He is now presenting his latest album, Henry St., the first album he has made with a band, full of vivid images, intelligent turns of phrase and devastating observations about the world, perhaps the most personal, surreal and dreamlike record he has ever released.
