Seventy great masters from the Pérez Simón collection

From 20 September until 12 January, CentroCentro presents an exhibition that brings together some of the most valuable pieces from the Pérez Simón collection, many of which have never been seen before in Madrid. Among the masterpieces on display are works by Rubens, Murillo or Goya. This exhibition is the prelude to the creation of a permanent area within the Serrería Belga Cultural Space.

The exhibition is organised into three time periods: Old and early modern masters, with works by artists such as Lucas Cranach the Elder, Bronzino, Rubens, El Greco, Murillo, Anton Van Dyck, Canaletto, Tiepolo and Goya, among others; 19th century, with pieces by outstanding painters such as Turner, Van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Pisarro, Gauguin, Sisley, Monet, Renoir, Joaquín Sorolla and Ignacio de Zuloaga; and From the Avant-Garde to contemporary art, with the presence of artists such as Eduard Munch, Tamara de Lempicka, Fernand Léger, Rothko, René Magritte, Alex Katz, Takashi Murakami and Yoshitomo Nara .

The Pérez Simón Collection, owned by entrepreneur and collector Juan Antonio Pérez Simón, is considered one of the most outstanding private art collections in the world, with more than 4000 pieces including painting, sculpture, drawing, decorative arts and manuscripts.
