Royal Blood

The British alternative rock duo is coming to La Riviera on 16 July as part of its latest tour to mark the tenth anniversary of its debut album, Royal Blood, released in 2014.

Having got together in 2011, the current line-up of Royal Blood is the vocalist and bass player, Mike Kerr, and the drummer, Ben Thatcher. With the release of the debut album of the same name, which is being commemorated on this tour, some music critics proclaimed the group as the “saviours of rock”.

This debut album was released on 25 August 2014, reached Number 1 in the United Kingdom and was nominated for the Mercury Prize in the category of Best Album. This album includes great hits like Figure It Out, Blood Hands or Little Monster.  Out of the Black was the official song for the WWE professional wrestling company’s Roadblock live event in 2016.

This latest tour also serves to present the songs from the most recent studio album, Back to the Water Below, released in September 2023. This album has been produced by the duo themselves, presenting greater musical variety, described as a rollercoaster by the drummer, Ben Thatcher.  It includes songs like Mountains at Midnight, The Firing Line and How Many More Times, among others.
