In the central part of the Pradolongo Park (in the Usera district), in front of the lake, we find ourselves in the botanical garden dating from 1979.
It has more than 8,000 m2 distributed in plazas and parterres, with numerous information boards and botanical fact sheets describing the main vegetation species that include conifers (pines, thuyas, ceders, firs), broadleafs (maples, willows, tilias, hazelnuts, mimosas), quercus (oaks, holm oaks, cork oaks) and olive trees, palm trees and so on. As for bushes, in the garden you can see the native trees like arbutus and the aromatic herbs lke thyme, rosemary, sage, santolina or lavender.
