A former textile factory in the Oporto neighbourhood of Lower Carabanchel has been home to nine artistic studios since 2013, where not only has a co-existence and work project been developed, but also an artistic community with independent yet collaborative planning of work, achieving affinities and connections between the artists who form part of it.
Nave Oporto has been formed since its beginning by Irma Álvarez-Laviada, FOD, Santiago Giralda, Miki Leal, Sonia Navarro, Toni Ramón, Belén Rodríguez, Manuel Saro and Miguel Ángel Tornero, who have been joined by new artists.
The space has been organised by the artists themselves, who have created their personalised corners in accordance with their needs, divided by mobile panels.
