The Australian-New Zealand alternative rock band fronted by singer-songwriter Neil Finn will be coming to the Palacio Vistalegre Arena on 27 October. At this concert, the group will be looking back at all their greatest hits and present their new album Gravity Stairs.
The band Crowded House first formed in Melbourne (Australia) in 1985. The lead singer is New Zealand guitarist and singer/songwriter Neil Finn, who has also been a member of New Zealand’s biggest bands, such as Split Enz and the Finn Brothers. His musical style draws on influences such as The Beatles, merging genres like pop and rock with a warm, melodic voice, and he wrote most of the band’s songs.
Currently, the band line-up includes Neil Finn himself, bassist Nick Seymour, Mark Hart on guitar and piano, also a member of Supertramp, and Matt Sherrod on drums, who has taken over from former member, the late Paul Hester.
The band's best-known hits include Don't Dream It's Over, Better Be Home Soon, Something So Strong, Fall At Your Feet, and Weather With You, which reached number one in the Top 40 in 1992 and 1997. Over the course of their music career, they have released eleven studio albums, the most recent being Gravity Stairs, which came out in 2024.
