The ultimate tribute to Fleetwood Mac is coming to the IFEMA Palacio Municipal on 7 October with a new show that celebrates the best of the band, including their most emblematic songs.
With personal support from Mick Fleetwood, founder member of Fleetwood Mac, this line-up is the ultimate tribute to one of the most important bands in rock and roll history. Giving audiences a real flavour of the original band's spirit, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac offers a unique opportunity for all fans to rediscover their songs and performances.
This tribute band was created in 1999 and throughout their career they have performed to more than 750,000 people from all over the world, becoming one of the most outstanding and faithful tribute bands of the moment.
Fleetwood Mac first got together in London (UK) in 1967 founded by vocalists and guitarists Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer, bass player Bob Brunning (soon after replaced by John McVie) and drummer Mick Fleetwood. As soon as they released their first album, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, in 1968 they became one of the best exponents of British blues of the time.
In 1970, Green left the band, and keyboardist and vocalist Christine McVie joined. With the albums released in 1973 and 1974, the line-up began its transition from their early blues and blues rock sound to the pop rock they later adopted. In 1975 the band was completed by guitarist Lindsey Buckingham and vocalist Stevie Nicks, whose influence changed the band’s sound to pop rock and soft rock.
Fleetwood Mac’s foremost albums include Penguin (1973), Fleetwood Mac (1975), Rumours (1977), Tusk (1979), Mirage (1982) and Tango in the Night (1987). Not forgetting songs that have become genuine anthems and made their mark in the world of music such as Dreams, Rhiannon, The Chain, Big Love, Gypsy, Everywhere, Sara and Landslide, among others.
