Reigning champions of the Champions League Madrid are making their season début on home turf against the German team. In this first stage of the league, previously known as the group stage, Real Madrid will have to face teams like Liverpool, Atalanta and Borussia Dortmund. This new Champions League format will feature more teams, increasing from 32 to 36 clubs.
