As part of their new world tour, Nada Surf will be heading to La Riviera on 14 November. The American alternative rock group that rose to fame in the 90s last visited Madrid in 2018, when they celebrated the 15th anniversary of their legendary album Let Go at a sold out concert.
The group formed in 1992 in New York by Matthew Caws, on vocals and guitar, Daniel Lorca on bass and Ira Elliot on drums, has gone from strength to strength, and they now have nine studio albums to their name. The first of them was released in 1996 called High/Low which was very well received thanks to the single Popular. Their second record came out in 1998, The Proximity Effect, consolidating their status as a band with songs like Mother's Day and Robot.
In 2002, they released their third album Let Go filled with energetic power pop, followed by the album The Weight Is a Gift (2005) that featured tracks like Concrete Bed and Always Love achieving huge success thanks to their inclusion on the soundtrack of the series One Tree Hill. In 2008, they brought out Lucky , with strong indie pop rhythms, dynamic melodies and very personal lyrics.
A successful career that has led to album after album, such as If I Had a Hi-Fi (2010), The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy (2012), You Know Who You Are (2016), Peaceful ghosts (2016) and Never Not Together (2020). They are back now, stronger than ever, with the album Moon Mirror that will be released in September 2024, featuring the first single In Front of Me Now.
