On 8 and 9 October, IFEMA MADRID will host a flamenco show that combines dance and gastronomy with the presence of several artists of the genre. This latest event includes the performance of the virtuoso dancer Belén López, who will shine thanks to her flair, passion and skill in the art of flamenco dance.
Fiesta Flamenca is an exclusive flamenco show, co-produced by SO-LA-NA Entertainment and IFEMA MADRID, where you can enjoy the true essence and authenticity of the art of flamenco accompanied by a cold tasting dinner.
On this occasion, the show will feature the flamenco dancer, Belén López. With no artistic background in her family, she has been highly sensitive to performance and has had a passion for flamenco ever since she was a child. At the age of five, she performed in a tribute to Carmen Amaya and at the age of eight, she participated in a tribute to UNICEF.
At the age of eleven, she moved to Madrid to embark on her studies at the Dance Conservatory in the Spanish capital. Then, from 2001 to 2005, she was the lead dancer at the Arena di Verona (Italy), the world’s largest open-air opera theatre, in Carmen and Il Trovatore, directed by Franco Zefirelli, as well as lead dancer in the La Corrala de la Danza Company, led by Il Camborio, with tours all over Italy.
Back in Spain, she set up her own group, which made its debut in the Teatro Metropol in Tarragona with the production Atrapados por el Arte. In 2006, she participated in the Jerez Festival as part of the Los Novísimos series and in April 2006, she performed at La Biennale Danza in Pessaro (Italy). Other outstanding works by this artist are Cuando Amanece and A Mi Manera.
Awards that she has received throughout her career include the Mario Maya National Flamenco Prize 2004, the Newcomer Artist Award 2005 granted by the Corral de la Pacheca and the Desplante Award at the Las Minas Flamenco Festival 2016 (Murcia).
