19 June 2024 marks the tenth anniversary of the Proclamation of His Majesty King Felipe VI. National Heritage is joining in the commemoration of this anniversary by staging a temporary exhibition that can be seen at the Palacio Real. The exhibition presents and celebrates the figure and institutional work of Their Majesties the King and Queen throughout the first decade of their reign with a visit that includes a video, large-format photographs and a videomapping that will be projected on the façade of the Palacio Real for three days.
The exhibition has been organised in conjunction with the Council of Grandees of Spain and the Nobility Foundation and is a highly visual cross-cutting and thematic survey of the significance and profile of Their Majesties and of the role assigned to them by the Spanish Constitution as the highest representatives of the State.
The exhibition fits naturally into the tour of the Palacio Real, with three focal points on the main floor: the Halberdiers’ Hall, where a video is shown as an introduction to a young and dynamic monarchy; the Prince's Gallery, which provides a backdrop to 23 photographs of recent history showing moments of major institutional importance, such as the Proclamation of King Felipe VI or the State tribute to the victims of coronavirus, along with family photos, such as King Felipe and Queen Letizia posing with their daughters in the Campo de Moro gardens; and, finally, the Crown Room, where the main symbols of the Monarchy are on display and explained.
To mark the exhibition, a publication has been brought out in Spanish and English in the form of a gazette reflecting the main features of the commemoration. It will be distributed free of charge to visitors to the exhibition.

In parallel to the exhibition, the videomapping show can be enjoyed on 19, 20 and 21 June, with several shows scheduled for 10.45pm, 11pm, 11.15pm and 11.30pm. Access is free of charge and a website will be set up to include information on the activities organised to mark this commemoration, and a gazette will be published in collaboration with Ediciones El Viso.
