One of the leading flamenco singers of his generation is coming the Sala Roja auditorium of Teatros del Canal on 1 December. It is an event in which the artist will premieres his new show Hereje accompanied on stage by Francis Gómez, Benito Bernal, Lito Mánez, Álvaro Gandul and Los Mellis.
Professional flamenco singer since 1977, Francisco José Arcángel Ramos is one of the leading flamenco singers of his generation, with his own language from the very beginning of his career. The artist from Huelva respects traditional flamenco but incorporates other modern elements. His vision and effort have enabled the flamenco singer to perform alongside great figures of the genre, such as Eva Yerbabuena, Vicente Amigo or Israel Galván.
The talent of the artist from Huelva has crossed borders. Arcángel has not only triumphed on the national scene. He has performed on leading stages all over the world, such as Carnegie Hall in New York or at the Flamenco Biennials in Rome. Arcángel has four studio albums and one live album under his belt: Arcángel (2001), La Calle Perdía (2004), Ropa Vieja (2006), El Quijote de los Sueños (2011) and his latest album, Tablao (2015).
After several projects marked by the search for new expressive channels with other musical genres, on this occasion, Arcángel explores different paths to those he usually follows, performing songs composed especially for him by artists of the likes of JJuanes, Vanesa Martín, Andrés Calamaro, Benjamín Prado, Vetusta Morla (Guille y el Indio), Rozalén, Leiva, Soleá Morente and Santiago Auserón.
