Nave 10 Matadero, situated within the Matadero Madrid complex, is a municipal centre dedicated to the production and dissemination of the performing arts, focusing on contemporary dramatic creation. It features a regular programme that is accessible to the public. Managed by Madrid City Council's Department of Culture, Tourism and Sports, this new theatrical space aims to promote innovative approaches to playwriting and directing. It serves as a hub for encounter, thought and dialogue, fostering the development of ideas, practices and artistic creations among both emerging and established authors and directors.
To showcase and enhance the talent of creators from Madrid and beyond, Nave 10 Matadero is built on three key pillars: contemporary authorship in Spanish, new directorial perspectives, and training and innovation in the performing arts. The project operates within the Max Aub, Hormigón and Madera halls of Nave 10 Matadero, with a special emphasis on engaging with the local community through an open mediation programme for residents.
