This restaurant, located in La Casa de Cantabria, just a stone’s throw from El Retiro Park, offers a varied menu of homemade dishes inspired by Cantabrian cuisine and cooked daily. It also has several terraces with a bar where you can enjoy lunch or dinner or have a few drinks in its chill out area.
Anjana serves traditional cuisine, cooked slowly and with affection, but in keeping with modern restaurant standard. The culinary offer is mainly Cantabrian although with a nod to dishes from other regions of Spain. Its star dishes include Montañés stew, Castilian soup, and stew soup, as well as creamy rice dishes (with lobster and crab from Cantabria), paellas, as well as meat, fish, and seafood. The majority of the ingredients used are from Cantabria.

The restaurant, which can accommodate around one hundred diners, is divided into several spaces. Inside is the Gran Salón and the Barecito and outside there are several terraces: Puerto de Suances, next to the Gran Salón, which is heated all year round; the Mirador de Anjana, offering wonderful views; the Jardín de Anjana, the best spot in the restaurant to keep cool; the Chillout De las Hadas and the Chillout de los Duendes, a new space designed to enjoy a drink surrounded by nature
