SPORTS SUMMIT and MADCUP-MADISS present the first edition of Sports Summit Madrid, which will take place on 18 and 19 June 2025 at IFEMA MADRID, coinciding with the MADCUP event. This project is backed by the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), the CEOE and the Madrid Union of Sports Federations (UFEDEMA).
It is the first major international congress and exhibition event that brings together all the sports industries along with sectors linked to grassroots and professional sport. In this space, the sports industry will merge with tourism, education, audiovisuals, media, health, well-being, sustainability, innovation, technology and the textile sector. A unique opportunity to promote networking between professionals in these industries.
The Sports Summit also has an Ibero-American dimension, as it is held in partnership with editions of the Sports Summit taking place in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, and in the city of São Paulo (Brazil) from 7 to 9 May 2024. The event being held in Madrid also aims to link sporting experts from both sides of the Atlantic.
The objectives of this congress include: stimulating entrepreneurship and networking among sports professionals and related areas (tourism, education, health, innovation, sustainability, environment, textile, communication and audiovisual); promoting women's and inclusive sports; promoting sports as a tool for prevention and the improvement of physical and mental health; bringing sports closer to companies, society and the media; and promoting and consolidating school and university sports.
It also aims to reconcile and adapt academic curricula with sports practice; create the largest employment network in the sports industry and related sectors; generate knowledge and instruments to improve the competitiveness of the sports industry; explore partnerships to make governance and public-private partnering channels more efficient; and promote sustainability in sport in its three dimensions: social, environmental and economic.
