Located on the site of the once popular Café de Chinitas (which closed down in 2021 as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic), this new Flamenco ‘tablao’ continues in its footsteps and brings the most authentic and traditional Flamenco to the heart of Madrid with performances by veteran and emerging artists, accompanied by the best Spanish cuisine.
The Café de Chinitas opened its doors in 1970, in beautiful premises located in an 18th century mansion. With decor inspired by the most important ‘café cantante’ (café-bar with live music) in Spain, the Café de Chinitas in Malaga, as well as one of its most illustrious clients, Federico García Lorca, the ‘tablao’ soon became one of the most outstanding flamenco venues in Spain. It was frequented by some of the most famous artists in the flamenco world, such as La Chunga, Rosario y Antonio, María Albaicín, Carmen Mora, Pastora Imperio, Morucha, Enrique Morente, María Vargas, and José Mercé.
Now, the Tablao de la Villa has recovered its spirit and offers two daily shows where you can enjoy intimate performances by artists, with exquisite lighting and extraordinary acoustics. The venue can accommodate up to 100 people, with excellent visibility from any angle in the room.
The flamenco experience is completed by the high quality traditional Spanish cuisine served in the restaurant, offering several menus, including one for vegetarians, as well as an extensive wine list.
